The objectives of the SIM Information Technology Procurement Working Group are to:
- create a forum to share concerns, strategy and exchange information on managing IT procurement
- provide a vehicle for improving IT acquisition management and execution.
- provide a vehicle to enhance the competitiveness of high tech consumers through informed procurement management and by influencing legislation affecting acquisitions.
- foster collaboration between the different professions participating in the IT procurement process
